Egypt's Investment Minister Ashraf Salman met on 19/4/2015 with Keiko Honda, the executive vice president of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), in Washington.
Salman discussed with Honda ways of increasing Egyptian investments in Africa, according to a statement by the Investment Ministry. He also expounded measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate in Egypt. Honda, for her part, said MIGA is keen on boosting cooperation with Egypt through urging foreign investors to pump more investments on the Egyptian market. She also congratulated Salman on the success of the Egyptian Economic Development Conference, which was held in Sharm el Sheikh last month. The Egyptian minister met also with a senior official at the International Finance Corporation and discussed means of promoting the investment sector in Egypt. The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency is the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. |
