The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained about nine billion pounds in the first 10 minutes of Monday's trading session on the back of a government decision to suspend the Capital Gains Tax (CGT) for two years.
The EGX30 index soared by 3.77 per cent to close at 8,572.47 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose by 3.47 per cent to 451.65 points. The- all-embracing-EGX100-index also increased by 3 per cent to close at 947.92 points. |
