Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sherif Ismail attended the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between Oil and Gas Skills Company and US-based Schlumberger Corporation to establish an institute to provide training in the petroleum sector.
In a released statement, Ismail said that establishing the institute comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to enhance the skills of its workers through providing training and exchange of experience. Schlumberger is the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry worldwide. Employing approximately 115,000 people representing over 140 nationalities and working in more than 85 countries, Schlumberger provides the industry’s widest range of products and services from exploration through production. |
