Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab followed up ongoing development projects in South Sinai so that they should be finalized on the set timetable, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qaweesh said.
During a meeting on Saturday with South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda, Mahlab said he will attend a conference due to be held for investors in Sinai in September. Mahlab noted that a presidential decree had been issued on comprehensive development in Sinai Peninsula. The decree offered many privileges for investors, including upping usufruct periods for 75 years. During the meeting, Fouda reviewed ongoing development projects in Sinai, including establishing a water desalination station in Tur at 120 million pounds and developing Tur fishing port at 45 million pounds. |
