President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on 24/10/2015 stressed that the State pays great attention to fish farming projects to increase fish production in an effort meet the citizens' needs of food and provide job opportunities.
The President made the remarks during his meeting with heads of the Logistics Authority of the Armed Forces and National Service Project Organization. The president stressed the importance of finalizing fish farming projects, following the most up-to-date technology and benefiting from foreign expertise. During the meeting, President Sisi was briefed on the progress of the implementation of a number of development projects in Sinai, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said. The meeting reviewed steps to accomplish a project to develop the Bardawil Lake which aims to increase its production from 3,200 tons of fish per year to 8,500 tons. About 95 per cent of the project has been finalized. The meeting also touched on a phosphate fertilizers complex planned to be established in Ain Sokhna area. The project is set to produce one million tons of phosphate fertilizers and others, which will be allocated for the local agricultural sector. |
