Presidents of Gabon, Sudan, Senegal and Nigeria said that they will participate in the African investment forum, which will be held on February 20-21 in Egypt's Red Sea resort Sharm El Sheikh.
Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency for Development Partnership Hazem Fahmy said that the two-day event will be opened by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He added that up to 21 heads of African States, 96 African ministers and 500 businessmen will participate in the first-of-its-kind forum. The event will discuss the possibility of establishing an African free trade zone, in addition to other issues such as energy, information and communications technology, infrastructure, agriculture and health. Fahmy made it clear that several initiatives for cooperation between Egypt and other African countries will be announced during the forum. |
