Iranian President Hassan Rouhani welcomed foreign investors, including the Americans, to the Islamic Republic, saying it was important to attract foreign capitals after the lifting of international sanctions.
"We are ready to receive investors and importers of technology from different countries including South and North America," Rouhani said in an interview with the state-run TV. Many countries from the around the globe have sent senior delegations to Iran to explore investment opportunities in the wake of last July nuclear agreement between Tehran and the P5+1 group. "We want to establish good relations with all Asian countries and neighboring countries and also African countries, because these nations have good opportunities for bilateral cooperation," said Rouhani. Iran is now beyond the nuclear agreement and the sanctions, he said, "and we should engage with the world and unite for the sake of the future of the Iranian people." Rouhani had last week visited Italy and France to be the first Iranian president to visit Europe in 14 years. During the tour, Iran signed agreements to buy some 140 aircraft. |
