Minister of Agriculture Essam Fayed received a delegation from the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) currently visiting here to be briefed on Egypt's plan to cultivate 1.5 million feddans.
FAO delegation included a number of experts in the water management, fisheries, natural resources and underground water, renewable energy and the use of solar energy in the agricultural field. A high-level delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) under the Deputy Regional Director and Water Expert Pasquale Steduto on Monday started a week-long visit to Egypt for talks on joint cooperation in various fields. FAO regional office in Cairo said in a statement that the delegation will confer with a number of officials and ministers concerned with the project of cultivating 1.5 million feddans and will be briefed on the proposed map for the project to determine spheres of possible cooperation. |
