The project of a solar power plant opened in Buckport, the Republic of South Africa, in the presence of Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and the Chairman of Saudi Aqua Power Company executing the project, Mohammed Abunyan.
Dr. Al-Rabiah expressed in his speech deep pleasure to attend the ceremony for the opening of a solar power plant, which comes in the framework of strengthening relations between the Kingdom and South Africa in all areas specially the economic domains. For his part, Abunyan said in his speech, ''The official opening of the power plant in South Africa is an important stage on the way of supplying South Africa with renewable electric power reliable with a competitive cost. It is noteworthy that the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah heads the Saudi delegation participating in the meetings of the seventh session of Joint Saudi-South African Committee in the city of Cape Town. |
