Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr signed with German Ambassador to Egypt Julius Georg Luy a technical cooperation agreement at a value of 25.38 million euros and a financial cooperation agreement for the second phase of education quality support program at a value of 10 million euros.
Nasr said that the two agreements aim at financing a number of key projects in the fields of renewable energy, energy utilization efficiency, drinking water resources management, sewage and irrigation. She explained that some of these projects aim at improving the quality of education, construction of schools, creating jobs and the management of solid wastes. She also urged the German side to help Egypt in the field of climate change. For his part, Luy stressed his country’s keenness on sustaining its development assistances to Egypt. |
