 Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil said the government seeks to consolidate Egypt's position as an important investment destination at the regional and international levels.
Addressing the Egypt Competitiveness Forum, which kicked off here earlier in the day, Qabil said the government adopts a plan to improve the investment atmosphere and attract new investors to Egypt in the coming period. The economic reforms implemented by the Egyptian government contributed to achieving a 4.2% growth of the gross domestic product, he said. The forum is organized by the US Business Council for International Understanding and sponsored by the US Embassy in Cairo. |
