PM Sherif Ismail confirmed that the Program of Action of the government which is currently presented to the parliament where the duration of the period of about 27 months ending up at the fiscal year 2017/2018, he also confirmed that because of the all the projects included in the planned program for completion during the time period selected.
With regard to the social housing, the program included the completion of 300 thousand residential units by the end of 2016, and 750 thousand residential units by the end of 2018, in addition to 135 thousand residential units. The program added to that sanitation projects which targeted in 30/6/2018 lifting the coverage rate of sewerage in cities to 95% compared to 60%, in villages to 50% compared to 15%. As the program indicated that the target in the health sector in the completion of the replacement and renovation of the number of 110 general hospitals at the fiscal year 2017/2018, with regard to the development of a network of roads, bridges and land transport, the program indicated that the decision by the end of 2018 the completion of the establishment of a number 6 new hubs on the Nile, as well as the establishment of 16 top bridge again to cancel the intersections and scheduled to be completed in the 31/12/2016 of the implementation of the first and second phases of the National Project of roads with a total length of up to 5,000 KM. The PM after his meeting with a number of ministers, the government initiated an unprecedented move, where they conducted a full inventory of the projects being implemented, as well as the suspended projects in all the development sectors such as housing, sanitation, youth and sports, health, and education, indicating that the preparation of a report that exclusively for distribution to the members of parliament. The report contains the project data, the current situation, and private investment, and remaining work, and the history of the scheduled completion of the project. The PM noted that the program includes economic indicators to access target by the end of each financial year, including the increase in the rate of economic growth to 6%, access investments in local, Arab and foreign direct investment to about 18 - 19% of the total gross domestic product (GDP). In addition to the comprehensive plan to support small and medium-sized projects assess the facilities and support will have a significant multiplier effect in operation, including the development of a framework of tax the facilitator and to give the features of those projects in governmental procurement as well as to the program for the integration of the informal sector in the formal sector. |
