Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati convened on Saturday with Saudi Minister of Water and Electricity Abdallah bin Abd al Rahman al Husayn to review a draft cooperation deal in various water domains.
The deal will include cooperation in the well water domain and digging wells technology to serve the 1.5 million feddan project, he said. Under the deal, the two countries would cooperate in studies in the water desalination domain, he said. Abdel Ati said the two sides agreed that Saudi Arabia would benefit from Egyptian expertise in building small dams. The agreement is the fruit of the current visit of Saudi King Salman ben Abdel Aziz to Egypt. |
