Saudi-Moroccan Business Council, headed by Mohammed Al Hammadi, met with a number of Moroccan officials, in order to strengthen cooperation and increase the level of trade between the two brotherly countries, on the sidelines of a visit organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The head of Saudi-Morocco Business Council noted that the visit included several Moroccan cities reached a number of outcomes some of which; developing the investment catalyst, setting an attractive investment frame work between the two kingdoms, intensifying development efforts, establishing relations of cooperation between the various relevant institutions, intensifying contacts and exchange of trade delegations to monitor investment opportunities in certain regions. The visit focused on the importance of cooperation in the field of tourism and investment between the business sectors in the two kingdoms, as well as operating the shipping line linking Jeddah Islamic Port with Casablanca, so as to activate trade exchanges between the two countries, as well as take advantage of the strategic location of Morocco as a Launching base toward the European continent and a gateway to sub-Saharan countries. The meetings also addressed ways of enhancing joint cooperation to increase the volume of trade exchange and joint investment projects between the two kingdoms. Since the trade volume between the two countries amounted to $ 2.52 billion in 2014. |
