 The Cabinet held a weekly meeting, under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, to discuss a number of political, economic, social and security files.
The meeting will resume discussions on a number of draft laws, including the media and press bills. It will address measures taken to carry out the government's platform and national projects aiming at improving the investment stage in the country and reducing unemployment rates. The Cabinet has approved an urgent plan to restore tourism movement, Spokesman for the Cabinet Ambassador Hossam Al Qawesh said. The plan includes six main axes to be implemented over six months. The plan is meant to develop an integrated plan to restore tourism movement and support aviation, development and investment in infrastructure through improving products and services offered to tourists. The plan will seek to increase foreign direct investments, and encourage the transition to green tourism. The Cabinet also approved offering fourth-generation (4G) licenses to mobile operators in Egypt as part of a plan to improve services provided for citizens in this sector. |
