 Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati inspected the new Assuit barrage and warned from any potential encroachment on the lands around the Nile River.
Accompanied by Assuit Governor Yasser el-Desouki, lawmakers, media people, Abdel Aati said a museum was being constructed near the new Assuit barrage, to document the phases of building the old and the new barrages. He called for establishing civil societies to raise awareness among the people on preserving and protecting the Nile water from pollution and land encroachment. The minister said coordination with the authorities is maintained to remove such encroachments and take firm measures against violators. |
