 Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati met a delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) to discuss pre-fiscal studies on a project of treating water in Kutchner drain which will be implemented with support of the EU and the EIB.
The meeting was attended by several irrigation officials in addition to the consultative company that conducts the project studies. Egypt wants to work on several fields of cooperation with all the development partners to enlarge the benefit from the available water resources, Abdel Aati said. The fields include low-cost techniques to desalinate water for being used in agriculture, reusing treated sanitation water and using renewable energy in the projects of water resources and irrigation, he added. |
