Sherif Ismail visit Al-Gharbia Governorate

PM Sherif Ismail was accompanied by the ministers of planning, logistics, local development, health, and the governor of Al Gharbia, inspected a number of development projects and service in Al-Gharbia governorate in the areas of infrastructure, health, housing and other, which aimed at improving the level and quality of services provided to citizens.

The PM visited the purification of drinking water in Kator center and listened to a presentation on the project was the emphasis which the project to be implemented in two phases, as being the implementation of the first phase of a card of 43 thousand m3/day, where the completion of the operational work by 78% is scheduled in 30/12/2016.

It was noted that the project also includes the implementation of the second phase of card also 43 thousand m3/day, to reach total energy project after the end of the phases to 86,000 m3/day.

It is expected that the total cost of the project of some 250 million pounds comprehensive networks, the importance of the project to the fact that the station would serve about 400 thousand people live in the center of Kator and about 16 a village belonging to the center.

And during his inspection of the purification of drinking water status in Kator – Al Gharbia governorate, PM Sherif Ismail made a detailed explanation on the draft of the sewage treatment in Al Reyania with a capacity of 8 thousand cubic meters daily, at a total cost of about 60 million pounds.

It was noted that the sewage is expected to serve about 60 thousand people in the village of Al Reyania and 5 villages adjacent to it.

The PM requested from the governor of Al Gharbia and the officials of the holding company for drinking water and sanitary drainage maintenance, the necessity of facilitating the citizens and providing services to them more easily, as well as to facilitate them upon delivery of water services and sanitation and other to homes, and calculating cost connections de jure and de facto accepted.

The prime minister stressed in a press statement that the government is determined to the completion of the implementation of the suspended projects in the various governorates, in accordance with the timetables advertised, including contributing to their entry into service projects as soon as possible to play its role in improving the level of services provided to citizens. The prime minister also confirmed the intention of the Government to the delivery of drinking water to 50% of the total Egyptian villages, during the next two years.
