 Engineer Sherif Ismail, chairman of the Council of Ministers held a follow-up meeting of rates of implementation of projects, attracting investments for the development of the Suez Canal Zone, and to provide all the facilities, the meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Darwish, head of the General Authority of the economic area of the Suez Canal, Mahbub Mamesh the head of the Suez Canal Authority, General Kamel Elwazer the minister of the engineering body of the armed forces.
During the meeting, the prime minister assured the importance of projects for the development of the Suez Canal as it will contribute to further development and prosperity to Egypt, stressing the importance of continued coordination between all the ministries and the Public Authority for economic region of the Suez Canal and engineering of the armed forces and the Suez Canal Authority to take actions and decisions and immediate steps to proceed with the implementation of those projects as soon as possible. Ambassador Hussam ?Alkawesh the official spokesman for the presidency of the Council of Ministers stated that the prime minister will hold a monthly meeting to review all the measures taken to provide all the needs of the projects and removing any challenges facing the work of the operating companies and stressed on the importance of the participation of the Suez Canal Authority in the process of the development of ports in the region . Alkawesh added that during the meeting they reviewed the most important world investments implemented in the region, and the rates of implementation in the areas of logistics and industrial projects in the Suez Canal Zone. They have also reviewed efforts to attract more investments during the current stage, and to work on the implementation of the two integrated development projects in east of Port Said and Ain Sukhna based on a number of axes of development that included the establishment of ports, and the establishment of a logistics services and housing units, industrial areas, as well as the establishment of two areas for the development of Qantarah west and east Ismailia and the establishment of the four ports of west of Port Said, Adabeya, A-Tur, and Aresh. Dr. Ahmed Darwish mentioned his previous foreign tours during the last period of the project to promote and attract more investments to him, confirming that the project for the development of the Suez Canal will contribute to the achievement of development and the creation of an efficient economy global investment absorber, through what is included in the areas of industrial and service communities and new urban communities in this region, including making it a global center for trade and industry logistic services, as well as the efforts to move in accelerating the implementation rates of the various projects. |
