H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Peter Szijjarto, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in Budapest.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed existing relations between the UAE and Hungary and ways of supporting and developing them especially in the political, trade and investment fields. They also reviewed current regional and international developments and exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah said that his visit to Hungary reflects the UAE's desire to reach new horizons in relations and achieve broader cooperation and closer ties between the two sides. The Hungarian Foreign Minister welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, stressing his country's keenness to develop bilateral relations with the UAE in various fields, given the prestigious status the UAE enjoys, and the economic progress it is witnessing in various fields. Mr. Szijjarto pointed out that Sheikh Abdullah's visit will contribute to pushing forward bilateral cooperation and friendship relations, and future prospects at all levels. Additionally, at a joint press conference held by Sheikh Abdullah and Szijjarto, the UAE Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to his Hungarian counterpart, praising the existing UAE-Hungarian relations. He also asserted the keenness of the UAE to enhance its relations with Hungary, especially in the economy, trade and investment fields, commending Hungary's efforts to promote trade ties with countries in the Middle East. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah also said that he and Szijjarto had held constructive and important discussions on various topics of interest to the governments of both countries and their peoples. |
