The total cost of the housing projects, expected to provide 6,432 units, is EGP 724.6 millions.

Housing projects are planned to provide 977 residential units for slum-dwellers in an attempt to overcome the phenomenon of slums, the governor said.

The governorate will witness the establishment of four other projects in the domains of drinking water and sanitation with a total investment cost of EGP 1.27 billion.

With regard to the energy field, he said that four solar-powered stations were opened in various areas in the governorate.
