Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Khedr held talks with General Manager of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) office in Cairo Atsushi Ikeda. The talks took up means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Khedr asserted GAFI's keenness on developing joint cooperation as well as activating new cooperation mechanisms with JETRO. He pointed out to GAFI's determination to remove all obstacles facing the Japanese investors in Egypt. For his part, Ikeda praised harmony among Egyptian sectors of interest to the Japanese investor such as infrastructure, energy, especially renewable energy, food and car assembly industries. Meanwhile, the two sides underlined the importance of GAFI presence in the Japanese business arena through its participation in investment conferences being organized by the Japanese side to promote investment opportunities in Egypt for Japanese companies. |
