 Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr has said Africa is committed to achieving the goals of sustainable development.
During her participation in "Africa 2030" session in New York on the sidelines of the UN development forum, the minister said 2015 was the year of change, pointing out that the African continent took important steps but it needs more to make use of its untapped resources to achieve development and overcome poverty and unemployment. According to a press release issued by the Ministry, the session was attended by the minister of finance in Uganda, the director of the UN development program, the German minister of state for environment affairs and nuclear security and other world dignitaries. Nasr said that Egypt took many important steps to improve the living conditions of Egyptian citizens and achieve social justice through launching development projects. She pointed to the statements by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi during the recently held African summit in Rwanda in which he called for promoting coordination among African countries at regional and international levels to achieve economic growth and meet the aspirations of citizens. |
