 Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr called on members of the international community to fulfill their commitments with regard to mobilizing financial resources to support developing countries.
Nasr made the remarks during her participation in UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, held in New York. The main challenge for Egypt is to completely eradicate poverty by 2030, the minister said. The government is exerting the utmost efforts to face poverty-related problems and achieve sustainable development, she said. Development is a human right, she underlined. Nasr noted that providing a base for development by means of enhancing economic development processes and providing new job opportunities would help various social brackets avoid from poverty. |
