The Kuwaiti MP Hamoud Mohammad Al-Hamdan stressed increased economic cooperation for the social development of the Asian region during the two-day Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meeting of standing committee on Economic and Sustainable Development Affairs in Pakistan's federal capital Islamabad.
In his speech, MP Al-Hamdan, who is heading the Kuwait delegation, said APA should formulate long term and short term strategies for achieving goals of economic development. The MP lauded the tremendous humanitarian services by His Highness the Amir (of Kuwait) His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and highlighted the role of Kuwait Fund for Economic Development in eliminating poverty, hunger and unemployment. The Kuwait delegation including MP Al-Hamdan and MP Dr. Khalil Abdullah Abul are attending the APA meeting.
