 The International Monetary Fund welcomes supporting Egypt in the face of current economic challenges.
During a news conference at the IMF headquarters in Washington, Spokesman William Murray stated that Egyptian authorities sought on July 26th a support to finance its economic program. To this end, Chief of IMF Mission to Egypt Christopher Jarvis will visit Cairo on July 30 to discuss politics that would help Egypt recover its economic stability and achieve a tangible and sustainable growth, Murray added. The volume of finance to be provided to Egypt would depend on IMF’s evaluation of Egypt’s financial needs and the strength of the economic program adopted by the Egyptian government, he said. |
