 Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil has said the amendments to the law of importers' registry represent an important step by the ministry to organize the imports of products which witnessed random decisions during the recent phase, the matter which affected the quality of products.
The minister's statements came during a meeting with members of the parliament's economic committee under Ali Al Moseilhi to debate the items of a bill presented to the parliament on amending law no. 121 of 1982 on the registry of importers. He said the proposed amendments would protect the consumers and traders alike and would also encourage investors to invest in the national industry. Qabil pointed out that the amendments would punish the companies and facilities that violate the law and prevent cheating. For his part, Moselhi said the MPs are keen on issuing legislation supporting the atmosphere of investment and pumping more investments in the Egyptian market during the coming stage. |
