Deputy Finance Minister for Tax Policies Amr al-Mounir said that stable taxation and economic climate are among the most important reasons to attract investors.
In statements, Mounir said that taxes represent the biggest part of revenues for all countries. He added that the Egyptian government is currently taking serious steps with the purpose of achieving tax reforms. Mounir pointed out that the value-added tax law aims at stimulating the economic activity in addition to achieving tax and social justice. He noted that application of the value-added tax law will generate 32 billion pounds to the State. He made it clear that the budget deficit will be redressed through the State revenues topped by tax revenues. |
