 President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Investment Minister Dalia Khurshid.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said that the meeting dealt with the formation of the Supreme Council for Investment. The minister briefed the president on issues to be put on the council's agenda that includes following up Egypt ratings in international investment reports, updating the country's investment map at the level of the various specialized sectors and geographical areas, developing a general framework for the legislative and administrative reform with regard to encouraging investment, added the spokesman. The council will monitor the implementation of plans and programs related to investment and the development of work with regard to the major economic projects, the minister told the president. It will also review investment opportunities in each economic sector and work to solve problems and obstacles in this respect in order to strengthen the capacity of national economy to attract more investment, added the minister. |
