Qatar's Ambassador to the United States, HE Mohammed bin Jaham Al Kuwari, said Qatar's investments in U.S. are expected to acheive $ 35 billion over the next five years.

This came in a speech by HE Al-Kuwari when he took part along with Senator Joe Manchin, member of Armed Services Committee at the U.S. Senate, in a reception ceremony organized by Discover the Real West Virginia Foundation on the sidelines of the West Virginia Chamber Annual Meeting and Business Summit. HE Al Kuwari reviewed potential economic opportunities between the State of Qatar and the State of West Virginia in the fields of energy sectors, noting that there is a strategic dialogue between Qatar and the United States in economic, commercial, educational, military and security fields. Ambassador Al-Kuwari pointed out that there is an increasing number of U.S. companies in Doha operating in various sectors such as health, tourism, technology and education, noting that a large number of U.S. investo rs and companies have $ 200 billion share of investments in infrastructure projects in preparation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The West Virginia Chamber Annual Meeting and Business Summit is the largest gathering of business, industry, financial, and political leaders from around the State of Virginia.
