Mohammed Thani Murshid Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber, has met with Alexander Efimov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UAE, and discussed boosting cooperation between the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Russia.
Mr. Al Rumaithi said that in order to improve cooperation and partnerships between the two sides, the Abu Dhabi Chamber confirmed its readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance to investors and businessmen from Russian companies who are willing to invest in Abu Dhabi and take advantage of the many opportunities provided. Mr. Efimov emphasised the growing interest of Russian businesses in UAE companies, and investment in markets, especially in the manufacturing and food sectors. He also expressed the willingness of these companies to bring their expertise to UAE companies and enhance mutual trade. The Russian ambassador welcomed the upcoming convening of an Emirati-Russian investment forum as part of joint efforts to improve the economic relations between the private sectors in both countries. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides. |
