 Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fathy and Iraqi Transport Minister Kazem Finjan signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of aviation, maintenance and training.
The signing ceremony was also attended by a number of senior aviation officials in Egypt, topped by Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Hani Al-Adawy. In statements, Fathy described the Egyptian-Iraqi relations as deeply rooted and distinguished, highlighting keenness of Egypt on supporting the Iraqi aviation. Finjan, for his part, said the Iraqi transport ministry always seeks to develop the civil aviation system in the country, noting that the ministry will benefit from the Egyptian expertise to establish an air academy in Iraq. The two ministers discussed increasing the number of flights between the two countries during the coming period. |
