His Excellency Sanad Al-Miqbali, Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received an Indian trade delegation from Kerala chaired by His Excellency Sri T. S. Pattabhiraman, President of Thrissur Chamber of Commerce, at the Chamber’s Tower in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Chamber Board Members Her Excellency Reed Al-Dhaheri, His Excellency Hamed Al-Shaer, Her Excellency Dalal Al-Qubaisi, Her Excellency Mouzah Al-Otaiba, His Excellency Yousef Ali, and His Excellency Khan Zaman attended the meeting along with Mr. Helal Mohammed Al-Hameli, Deputy Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and more than 80 representatives of companies operating in Abu Dhabi. In a welcoming remarks, H.E. Al-Miqbali welcomed the Indian delegation from Thrissur Chamber of Commerce, emphasizing that their visit represents an excellent opportunity to discuss the best methods of increasing the cooperation between companies and businessmen in Abu Dhabi with their Indian counterparts from Kerala state. He pointed out that India occupies a special place among Abu Dhabi trade partners that it comes at the top of the list of exporting countries to the UAE and Abu Dhabi. “Economic and investment cooperation relations between the two sides witnessed considerable development over the past few years until it became a distinguished attraction for Emirati investments in a number of pivotal sectors including the energy sector, construction, services, programming, property development, shipping, jewelry, banking, tourism, telecommunications, marine operations and ports,” he said. “The volume of Emirati investments in India grew tremendously over the past five years; besides, the number of Emirati companies doubled their presence in the Indian markets, especially in such sectors,” he added. |
