Minister of Electricity and Water and Minister of Public Works, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ahmad Al-Jassar signed infrastructure contracts encompassing the areas of Al-Ghous road, Sabah Al-Salem and Seventh Ring Road.
The total value of both contracts is KD 148.3 million, a statement by the Ministry of Public works noted, adding that the first deal, with a cost of KD 77.3 million, consists of infrastructure work in Al-Ghous road, which lies between the Fifth and Sixth Ring roads. It also includes renovations to three roundabouts in Bayan area, the statement added. Moreover, the second deal which amounts to KD 70.9 million, comprises work to repair Al-Ghous road, which stretches from Sabah Al-Salem area to the Seventh Ring Road. The infrastructure work includes overhauling several intersections and roundabouts, in addition to building six overpasses. |
