Minister of Agriculture Essam Fayed and German Minister for Food and Agriculture Christian Schmidt have discussed the full activation of Egyptian-German partnership to develop the agricultural sector in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Ministry of Military Production to manufacture agricultural machinery.
The remarks were made during a meeting of Egyptian and German delegations in the presence of Egypt's Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Aati which was held on the sidelines of the activities of the 9th Global Forum for Food and Agriculture in Berlin. Fayed said that the talks tackled means to promote aspects of cooperation in the research fields along with technological support to combat plant and animal diseases. During the meeting, Egypt and Germany approved a draft agreement on cooperation in the field of food safety, he added. |
