CFA Society Emirates, the Association of CFA Charter holders and members in the UAE, will host the 8th Middle East Investment Conference, MEIC, next month in Abu Dhabi.
As significant shifts in oil prices, geopolitical developments and national budget revisions continue to affect the investment climate across the Middle East, the conference will bring together regional and international investment professionals to consider the most pressing issues facing investors , under the theme, 'Beyond Borders: MENA’s Role in the Global Economy'. The conference, to be held, 23rd February, is expected to attract around 300 of the foremost investment professionals from across the Middle East. This is the third time the event will be held in the UAE, reinforcing its status as the region’s leading financial and investment centre. Attendees will include portfolio managers, analysts, chief investment officers, chief executive officers, investment advisers, pension plan investment officers and other senior financial consultants. Amer Abdul Aziz Khansaheb, CFA, President of CFA Society Emirates, speaking about the event, said, "With significant public debate as to how global and regional markets will evolve during 2017, this is an opportune time to host this insightful conference. The MEIC will allow delegates to hear from some of the leading global and regional economic and financial minds, who will present their views on a broad range of issues affecting the Middle East." Ahead of the conference, the CFA Institute will also publish the findings of its Middle East Societies Market Sentiment Survey in a media roundtable that will be hosted in Dubai, which gauges the opinions of regional investment professionals and highlights a broad range of economic, investment and employment trends in the Middle East. |
