 In completion of the series of meetings held by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail with the new ministers to become familiarized with their action plans in their ministries during the upcoming period, Eng. Ismael met with the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr.
In a press conference following the meeting, the Minister stated that future action plans of both Ministries of Investment and International Cooperation were reviewed and emphasis was laid on the completion of all steps and procedures that would contribute to providing all necessary facilitations for investors either at local or international level. This is in addition to seeking to overcome all obstacles that might face investors in a manner that would contribute to attracting further investments and benefiting from available potentials through holding a series of meetings with investors to identify their problems, obstacles and possible solutions, besides completing the new investment law. The Minister ascertained the private sector's pivotal role in supporting sustainable development in all sectors during this period, while noting that further efforts and investments had to be directed to the most lagging areas so as to provide more job opportunities and increase productivity. The Minister explained that the action plan included conducting several mutual international visits to encourage investment in all fields and identifying new means for developing investments, besides completing the procedures relating to the economic reform program with a view to contribute to improving the investment climate in Egypt. |
