 The Cabinet convened to discuss efforts to improve the business atmosphere in Egypt, said Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr.
Nasr said her Ministry is working on a quick plan of action to achieve tangible progress that would attract more foreign direct investments and upgrade the national economy. The plan is also meant to intensify the contribution of the private sector to all sectors, she told reporters in a press conference after the meeting. She made it clear that a high-ranking delegation of the World Bank will visit Egypt next week to get firsthand information about measures taken to improve the investment atmosphere in the country. Contacts are also being made with the different international parties to put them in the picture about efforts exerted by the government in this regard, Nasr noted . She said the Ministry is acting in coordination with other ministries to outline a comprehensive and integrated investment map with the aim to pinpoint business opportunities in the different governorates. |
