Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr took part in a workshop organized by the World Bank on ways of achieving the sustainable development goals.
Representatives of Sweden, Jordan and Lebanon took part in the workshop . Addressing the workshop, Nasr said Egypt has an integrated plan to put into effect sustainable development goals as the government believes that overall and sustainable development is an essential constitutional value. She noted that Egypt has formed a committee grouping all ministries concerned under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to follow up the implementation of these goals. She pointed out that the government, the private sector and civil society are working together to achieve these goals. In parallel with achieving the goals of sustainable development, the government works on carrying out a social reform program that was developed by all partners concerned with giving a top priority to fighting poverty and increasing economic growth, she added. |
