The government of Qatar announced that it will invest 5 billion pounds in the UK over the next three to five years.
The announcement was made during a Qatar-UK business investment forum in London, According to the Qatar News Agency, QNA, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, said that investments would focus on energy, infrastructure, and real estate among other various sectors. "Qatar is already a top investor in the UK, having invested more than 40 billion pounds across the country," the Prime Minister added. |
