 A high-level delegation from the World Trade Organization (WTO) will visit Cairo to review Egypt's trade, economic and investment policies over the past years, Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil said in a statement.
The delegation will hold three-day intensive meetings with officials from all Egypt's ministries and bodies concerned in order to get acquainted with the measures and laws adopted by the Egyptian government as part of its economic policy in recent years, said the statement. Members of the delegation will also be posted on the government's economic and social program in the coming period, it noted. Qabil noted that this periodic review, conducted in all members of the organization, is important for assuring Egypt's commitment to the WTO agreements and for considering the common impact of Cairo's trade policies on the multilateral trading system. |
