Tareq Qabil, the Minister of Trade and Industry said boosting commercial and economic relations between Egypt and Arab countries tops the priorities of the ministry, hailing the depth of economic and commercial relations with the sisterly kingdom of Bahrain which represents one of the most important markets for Egyptian exports.
He said Bahrain comes in the 14th place on the list of states investing in Egypt as Bahraini investments in Egypt amounted to $2.7 billion by the end of 2016. He said the number of companies investing in Egypt with Bahraini inputs has reached 183 companies. He said the visit of President Sisi to Bahrain represents an important step towards bringing about a qualitative development of economic relations. He said the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Bahrain amounted to $160.35 billion in 2016. |
