 Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr discussed with CEO of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce Andreas Hergenröther final preparations for holding an annual joint investment forum in Berlin.
They tackled efforts to boost the volume of German investments in Egypt, along with bolstering cooperation in a number of development projects, a statement issued by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation said. The joint investment forum will see wide participation by both Egyptian and German investors, the statement said, adding that the event aims at enhancing investment cooperation and establishing more Egyptian-German projects. The forum will take up current investment opportunities in Egypt. A number of German companies are keen on expanding their investments in Egypt following the endorsement of the new investment law, Hergenröther said. Egypt is a key partner of Germany in the Middle East and plays a major role in maintaining stability in the region, he said, adding that his country supports all economic reform measures adopted by Egypt. |
