Kuwait has delivered medical equipment worth USD 145,000 to a cardiac center in the eastern African nation of Tanzania. Tanzania's Minister of Health and Community Development Ummy Mwalim received the medical supplies that will be used to equip an operating room in a cardiac center, read a statement Kuwait's embassy in Tanzania, which was obtained by KUNA.
The medical aid would help prop up the impoverished nation's ailing healthcare sector, where one out every 100 children is affected by a heart disorder, Kuwait's Ambassador to Tanzania Jassim Al-Najem revealed. Addressing a ceremony where the supplies were delivered, Mwalim thanked Kuwait for the aid, saying that the new equipment would ultimately help save more lives.
