Minister of Petroleum Tareq El Molla witnessed the signing of a contract between Egyptian Petrobel and American Baker Hughes GE companies to carry out the second phase of Zohr gas field project in the Mediterranean Sea.
The American company will implement the marine services of the second phase of the project in question. CEO of Baker Hughes GE Lorenzo Simonelli also witnessed the signing of the contract. The minister stressed the importance of cooperating with global leading companies such as Baker Hughes GE in the fields of oil and gas, pointing out to the need to benefit from the company's expertise in this field. He explained that Zohr project is considered one of the most important gas projects in the Mediterranean Sea, adding that the project will reshape the industry. In addition, he pointed out that the project would attract large amount of investments, which will help complete the project in a record time. |
