The Egyptian-Italian Business Council held meeting with the new ambassador to Italy Hisham Badr to discuss six main axes that aim at developing the volume of trade and investment between the two countries in the coming period.
In a press release head of the council Khaled Abu Bakr said that the six axes include means of promoting Italian tourism to Egypt, technical aid in building capacity field, railway projects and reviewing recent laws and economic reforms. They also tackled ways of how Italian companies could keep abreast with the latest developments in the Suez Canal Corridor Area and Golden Triangle projects as well as establishing an Italian university and a number of vocational institutes in Egypt. The council asserted its full support to the Egyptian government’s efforts especially the recent economic reforms. Meanwhile, the ambassador said that Egypt and Italy are considered partners in the Middle East and Africa at all levels. |
