The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by 79 cents to USD 51.56 per barrel as oppose to USD 50.77 pb , said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) .

At the global level, the prices went up after the Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA) released a statement, saying that world supplies were diminishing despite the fact that American crude reserves increased in reaction to natural disasters hitting the US.

The IEA predicated that global demand in 2017 would reach 1.6 million barrels per day.

The price of the Brent crude went up by 89 cents to USD 55.16 per barrel, the same occurred with the West Texas Intermediate, which went up by USD 49.30 pb.
