Efforts exerted by Ministry of Commerce and Investment, in collaboration with the private sector and other concerned parties, have managed to put an end to anti-dumping issue related to the Kingdom's exports of non-woven fabric products, without paying anti-dumping charges, in the context of the ministry keenness to achieve the Vision of the Kingdom 2030, increase volume of the Kingdom's exports and enable more access to foreign markets.
Undersecretary for Foreign Trade, at the ministry Abdulrahman Al-Harbi said that the efforts exerted by the ministry, in coordination with the private sector and the concerned authorities led to the termination of the anti-dumping investigation, by the Indian Investigation Authority, without imposing anti-dumping duties on the Kingdom's exports, of non-woven fabric products, as the competent authorities of India held anti-dumping investigation on exports of these products on a number of countries, including the Kingdom. Raising the level of cooperation and coordination between all parties related to trade and private sector issues, has accelerated the process of ending this type of investigation, enhanced ability of Saudi products to access foreign markets and achieve fair competition, in these markets, he added. Indian investigation authority has initiated, in July 2016, anti-dumping investigation procedures against imports of non-woven fabrics, produced in a number of countries, including the Kingdom and began investigations on allegations made by local producers, for non-woven fabric products. |
