 Prime Minister Sherif Ismail inaugurated Akhbar Al Youm fourth economic conference, entitled "Egypt.. The road to the future.. Investment and export for employment".
The 10-session conference will last till with the participation of businessmen, economists, lawmakers, and experts concerned with economic affairs. Its recommendations will be submitted to the prime minister as a road-map for the national industry. Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed, Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr will deliver speeches during the conference. Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said the political leadership assigned the government with developing an economic reform program, lasting from 2016 till 2019, with the aim of achieving higher growth and employment rates, driven by a gradual and sustained increase in savings and investment rates. Attracting investments and increasing competitiveness of Egyptian exports are the most important factors to achieve the desired economic breakthrough, the prime minister added in his speech at the opening ceremony of Akhbar Al Youm press house's fourth economic conference. The government's pro-reform efforts aim to provide job opportunities for youth, reduce unemployment in order, raise the standard of living of the Egyptian family, provide the needed funds for the advancement of education, health and sanitation services, improve the level of public utilities and widen the network of social protection in the country, Ismail said. The reform program paves the way for an economic breakthrough by ensuring the sustainability of the supply of energy resources and providing advanced infrastructure, qualified labor, business environment and legislation guaranteeing the competitiveness of national economy, he added. It also aims to serve the implementation of major national projects, the prime minister said. |
