His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank Group, who is currently visiting the country.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Jim Yong Kim and discussed with him cooperation relations between financial and economic institutions and the World Bank. They also reviewed the latest technological developments in the economic field and their reflection on innovations in human and economic development. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on various economic, developmental and financial issues of concern to the international community, and emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchanging of experiences between the concerned authorities in the UAE and the World Bank. The meeting was attended by Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri, Chairman of Department of Economic Development and Member of the Executive Committee, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi. |
